It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Five days until vacation! I cannot wait. I've started washing clothes and getting things ready. It is hard to know what to pack. Will it be cold or not? This week it went from 52 degrees to 75 degrees. Yesterday I wore a coat and today I had on short sleeves. Crazy, huh? I guess I will just pack clothes that I can layer.
So, I've started Christmas shopping. Everything has been bought online. I have not stepped foot inside of a mall yet. I'm still searching for the perfect gifts for my niece and nephew. J and I took them to two toy stores to see what they were interested in. She likes everything Dora the Explorer and he likes Hot wheels and animal figures. However, they both liked this little trampoline. I wanted to buy that for them, but my sister said no. So, it's back to the drawing board. I guess I will try and find the one Dora toy she does not have. As for Prince J, I have no idea. He has three baskets full of little cars and two shelves of big trucks. He does not need any more.
Well, I'm off to unload the dryer. Hopefully I will have more to post when I get back from Florida.
Until then........

Remember when?

Remember the Smurfs? I loved the Smurfs as a child. I was thinking of that while I was in the shower today. Gargamel and Azrael just popped into my head. Gargamel makes me think of one of my oldest friends, Christie. One day we were on our way home and Christie pointed out a cloud that looked like Gargamel. It really did look like him! I wonder if she remembers that? It's funny how certain things just stick with you. Millions of things happen in our lives and we remember some and forget the others. I still remember what I wore on my first day of 4th grade (blue and white ringer t-shirt with my name airbrushed on it, blue jeans, and Kangaroo sneakers!) Don't you love it when one thought triggers another and you start to recall all sorts of memories? Like now, I'm thinking about my favorite toy ever- Fashion Plates. I loved to play with my Fashion Plates! I could mix and match outfits and create a whole new wardrobe for my model. Hours of fun! Also, I loved to buy Barbie clothes. My favorite outfit was a gold, fur trimmed trench coat with high heeled, knee high boots. Barbie rocked that outfit! I have no idea what she wore underneath that coat. Probably nothing. Such a tramp!

Red Sox Rule!

I got my first ever flu shot today. My arm is still really sore, but all in all, it was not that bad. Some people say that they got sick after getting the shot. I hope this doesn't happen to me.

Halloween is in 6 days. I cannot wait. I got my wand and cloak and I am ready to go. It will be so much fun. I get to wear my costume to work. I think everyone else is planning on being cowgirls. They just want to wear jeans to work. How boring!;)

So, Dumbledore is gay. How bloody fantastic! I honestly had no clue. I've since read the key passages in the last book and now I get it. J.K. Rowling is a genius! Also, I hear that there may be a book 8. A prequel to the first 7. Which, I'm assuming, will be about James, Sirius, Lupin, and Snape. This could be interesting. I wonder if it is true?

Ankle news! Next week marks the end of my physical therapy. It has been 4 months since my accident and I still can't wear heels. The pt said I will still have pain and swelling for at least another 2 months. I am ready for this to be all over with. Sneakers and ballet flats DO NOT go with everything! I want to wear some heels!

November is going to be a very busy month. I will be out of town for the first two weeks training for work. During that time I will be celebrating my birthday with perfect strangers. SWEET! Then it is Thanksgiving. I am really looking forward to that. Then 9 days later I am off to Orlando for my new Godson's baptism. That leads us to December and all the Christmas festivities. Whew! 2008 will be here before you know it.

Catching Up!

Hello all! It has been a crazy couple of weeks. I have intended to blog several times, but never got around to it.
Lets see, whats been happening? Well, I have been going to physical therapy for the last two and a half weeks. Some days I leave in pain, but for the most part it is not so bad. Everyone there is really sweet and very encouraging. I am still in a walking cast and hope to get it removed on Wednesday. The thought of putting on a shoe after two months seems like a dream. The physical therapist said I will have to go up a size in order for me to be able to wear a shoe. I still have a lot of swelling and no sign of an ankle. I guess it is a wait and see situation.
The girls and I finally had a night out together. We went to a great sushi place and had a really wonderful time. We decided to do this again on the third Tuesday of every month. We will pick a different restaurant each time. In October we will be having Mexican food at my friend C's favorite place. I get to choose where we eat in November. I can't wait!
So, what about Big Brother 8? It makes me sick that the Donatos walked away with all of the money! Evel Dick is the most vile person on earth. To think America rewarded that behavior. I hope we never see or hear from him again. CBS, please do not cast him and his immature daughter on The Amazing Race! It is bad enough that Will and Boogie will be on it in the Spring. I hope the Donato's 15 minutes of fame is up! I don't think I can take much more.

BB8 Final 3

Well, it's almost midnight and I am up watching who will win the first round of the HoH competition on Big Brother 8. Daniele just fell of of her "carrot" and I am super excited. I would triple love it if Zack ends up in the final two and one of the Donato's went packing. Dick has been yelling the most obscene things to Zack for the last hour and a half. I would be so embarrassed if Dick were my father. What kind of 44 year old father behaves that way? Yet, Dani sits there giggling like a thirteen year old little girl. She should have pulled him aside long ago to talk to him about his behavior. But, of course, his behavior has gotten her this far in the game. I guess some people have no self respect. There are limits to what I would do or endure for half a million dollars. The game has been played so crazy this year. I cannot believe the producers allowed such horrible behavior. I hope next year it is better than this. Oh, and please, NO MORE LAME TWISTS!
